Botox Treatment for Frown Lines

Using Botox is a non surgical Cosmetic Surgery Procedure that has been used for years, no only for cosmetic purposes but to help patients with muscle spasms. The effect of Botox is not immediate, Relaxation of the treated muscles often takes between three to ten days, sometimes longer. Initially the Botox effect will be evident only as a reduction in strength of the muscle contraction in the treated area, and not reduction in wrinkles and lines will be noticeable in the treated area at rest. In time, a softening of the wrinkles and lines is usually noticed as the skin undergoes self repair. Deep lines heavily etched into the face may not completely disappear with Botox treatments alone and may require additional treatment with collagen or hylaform gel. The aim of the treatment is the reduction of muscle hyperactivity, not a complete absence of the muscle movement, using untreated muscles nearby.
Occasionally, excessive hyperactive muscles will require a Botox Booster treatment. Booster treatments must be administered within three to four weeks after initial treatment and are charged at a rate of 50% per area.
